About the Experience

Join us on a unique and immersive journey into the rich cultural heritage of Wiradyuri peoples. This experience is designed to foster cultural competency, enhance understanding, and build meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities. This experience will complement and enhance any cultural awareness training your organisation may have completed, through guided learning, storytelling, and hands-on engagement, participants will gain valuable insights into the traditions, history, and contemporary experiences of First Nations peoples. 

What to Expect

Authentic Cultural Engagement – Connect with local Wiradyuri Traditional Owners, and cultural knowledge holders who share their wisdom, history, and lived experiences through place based learning on Wiradyuri Country.
On-Country Experience – Spend time on Traditional lands, learning about the significance of Country, Indigenous sustainability practices, and the deep spiritual connection to the land.
Interactive Workshops – Observe and participate in cultural activities like Cultural Ceremonies,  traditional arts practice, language, and storytelling.
Truth-telling and History – Gain an understanding of the impacts of colonisation, historical injustices, and the resilience of First Nations peoples.
Practical Skills for Cultural Awareness – Learn how to engage respectfully with Indigenous communities and apply Cultural Awareness in professional and personal settings.
